How often is that you see some merchandise from Captain Scarlet that takes your breath away? This is one of those rare occasions.
Limited Edition, painstakingly and faithfully reproduced from the originals, these amazing highest quality prints are approximately 20” X 14” and are an immediate visual reminder of the magic and nostalgia associated with watching Captain Scarlet as a child.
Producers Gerry Anderson and Reg Hill originally commissioned acclaimed artist Ron Embleton to paint powerful and expressive graphics for the closing credit sequence of every episode of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. His work was to become engraved in the childhood memories of everyone who had seen the shows. These paintings became synonymous with the legend and lasting impact of the classic Captain Scarlet. Each print captures the action of the series perfectly with vibrant colours and the unmistakable style of the cult 1960s show.
For the first time ever, fans can now own an officially licensed, limited edition giclee* of the Supermarionation hero Captain Scarlet as he struggles against the powers of the evil Mysterons.
Each print has a white border which carries the hand signature (not a print but genuine signature) of Francis Matthews, the VOICE of Captain Scarlet and is individually numbered. This is the finishing touch to these beautiful works of art which are certain become treasured collectables of the future. They have taken a year to produce using archive source material and digital scans of the original work. Each one is printed using millions of droplets of ink to produce rich and vibrant colours on cotton archive paper.
The artwork is then hand finished, numbered and signed and sent to its new owner.

*The term "giclee print" is an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper. The giclee printing process provides better colour accuracy than other means of reproduction.
