to be strong and are primed with several coats of paint. It is possible during winter months that internal condensation
may occur as would be expected of any outdoor structure. The durability is dependent on location and many other external variables over which we have no control.
We therefore cannot realistically give any durability or absolute waterproof guarantee. The painted finish is high quality external grade paint and may need ‘touching up’ every few
years as it is exposed to UV light and the rigours and wear and tear of the elements. Structurally, the GRP is very strong and durable.
We require a flat area to put the TARDIS on. This can be concrete or paving stones. We will quote for Delivery and Assembly dependiing on location.
PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP THE ‘WOODEN’ LOOK WE HAVE MOULDED IN THE IMPERFECTIONS AND CHARACTER OF THE WOOD GRAIN INTO BOTH OF THE TARDIS VARIATIONS.
2018 TARDIS
CONSTRUCTION: GRP Reinforced Resin material
made from a polyester resin, which is reinforced
by chopped strand mat glass fibres to form a
laminate. It is a very popular composite material
to use because of it’s strength, durability and
suitability to being outside in the elements.
The photographs show the depth of the grain
and the texture of this definitive work of TARDIS
art, A piece of history and THE ultimate in prop
collectables. The assembled TARDIS is solidly
constructed and once assembled is a sturdy
space with multiple uses. As the images show,
it is has the appearance of a wooden structure.
The extra cost of the 2018 TARDIS is due to the extra surface area
using more raw materials and also the tricolour paint finish and
custom ‘Pull to Open’ door sign and reinforced base.
